His contemporary furniture and décor is both utilitarian and aesthetic – providing domestic furniture narrative art in the piece from every angle.Pavel’s furniture has won many industry awards and most pieces are for sale Pavel also loves the challenge of designing a new unique object to suit individual needs and stories.

Pavel’s background

Pavel Perina was born in a cute village with 800 inhabitants in the North-East part of the Czech Republic called Sobesovice. Fate has taken him a bit further than is common for other Czech locals. Pavel came to Australia in 1998 and after spending a couple of years in Brisbane, Queensland, he went to study furniture in Western Australia.

School of Wood Dwellingup

At the School of Wood Dwellingup he was so lucky to study under Neil Erasmus, Malcolm Harris and Philippe Brooks. This school is one of the few in Australia focused on furniture design and is placed in the middle of the Jarrah forest of Dwellingup. . .After a few years of great experience in the design office of a Brisbane shipbuilding industry, Pavel has experienced the industrial taste of fine furniture making.

Thank's to the great hospitality of Ross Annels. and his family, Pavel was able to work from the beautiful studio of contemporary chair maker, Ross Annels for over two years. They have created together many project and had lots of great disscution of alternative views on furniture making. Ross's studio is in arguably the most beautiful part of Australia, the Noosa hinterland of South East Queensland, Australia.

Recently Pavel has finished major degree in furniture design at Curtin University of Technology , Western Australia. After 10 years in Australia is taken up oppontunity to influence the future business class in China and is currently lecturing design at Raffles Design Institute in Shanghai.
