The aim of this essay is to explain the shift in design thinking over the last century, and its meaning for contemporary society. As “today’s ideas become tomorrow’s reality” I primarily argue the future of design should be based on some of today’s tendencies, ideas and values. Today’s product Aesthetics are direct consequence of the industrial revolution and the capitalist system of consumption. |
